Comment For Amityville: The Awakening Tokyo Heist Full Movie 2016

Name : Manohla Dargis / Alias : New York Times
Low-key creepy rather than outright scary, the new Amityville marks a modest improvement over the original.

Name : Robert Denerstein / Alias : Denver Rocky Mountain News
The filmmakers have managed to take a mediocre movie and make it worse.

Name : Colin Covert / Alias : Minneapolis Star Tribune
If they scare up enough business to perpetuate this sort of retread, that will be the real horror.

Name : Roger Moore / Alias : Orlando Sentinel
The original is still creepy, but this Horror will have fans jumping in their seats and talking back to the screen.

Name : Jack Mathews / Alias : New York Daily News
A cut-to-order MTV hack attack. Audiences will be stunned not because they have been frightened but by how obvious and safe the whole thing is.

Name : Roger Ebert / Alias : Chicago Sun-Times
The problem with The Amityville Horror is that, in a very real sense, there's nothing there.

Name : Chuck Wilson / Alias : L.A. Weekly
Never buy a house with a basement, and while you're at it, avoid old Dutch Colonials in which the previous occupants were murdered by an eldest son possessed by demons.

Name : Lou Lumenick / Alias : New York Post
Shoddily made, boring and, most shockingly, without a single decent scare.

Name : Owen Gleiberman / Alias : Entertainment Weekly
Nothing gets in the way of the rote staging, the ham-handed predictability, the feeling that you've been to this house, and yawned at these ghosts, once too often.

Name : David Hiltbrand / Alias : Philadelphia Inquirer
Despite Andrew Douglas' tightly focused direction, this is a cheap, calculated scare.

Name : Scott Foundas / Alias : Variety
Begins slavishly faithful to its low-key 1970s predecessor then sledgehammers auds with a numbing succession of shock edits and over-the-top horror effects.

Name : Connie Ogle / Alias : Miami Herald
Moviegoers are more cynical now than they were in 1979, and most will laugh off the moments meant to be tense. You can't really blame them.

Name : Claudia Puig / Alias : USA Today
In this Amityville, the performances are bad, the special effects ho-hum, and it's not even particularly scary.

Name : Michael O'Sullivan / Alias : Washington Post
A gory lark, a cheap-thrill-packed love poem to the history of the contemporary horror film.

Name : David Ng / Alias : Village Voice
The Amityville Horror is a Xerox so tattered and faded that it's impossible to determine who's to blame for the overproduced mediocrity before our eyes.

Name : Wesley Morris / Alias : Boston Globe
Not content to remake an old, mediocre horror movie, this Amityville takes its cues from current mediocre horror movies, too. This one is frightening only if you can't remember the last throwaway movie that leaned on all the same tricks.

Name : Bob Longino / Alias : Atlanta Journal-Constitution
There's nothing this Amityville won't beg, borrow, steal from or fabricate in trying to make your neck hairs sit up and quiver.

Name : Sean Daly / Alias : Washington Post
You'll want to get out of Amityville long before the Lutzes do.

Name : Kevin Thomas / Alias : Los Angeles Times
The film is a terrific scare show, fast and furious, made with a lot of style and energy, packing plenty of jolts yet never lingering morbidly over horrific images.

Name : Lisa Rose / Alias : Newark Star-Ledger
The startling thing about the remake is that it's one of the better horror films to hit screens in recent months, thanks to its refusal to take itself too seriously.

Name : Ruthe Stein / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
It retains the cheesy look of the 1979 original, pure schlock not gussied up to appear to be anything else.

Name : Rex Reed / Alias : New York Observer
A few lines get laughs, but the horror is standard fare, without a shred of innovation.

Name : Moira MacDonald / Alias : Seattle Times
In theory, this should all be scary, but it just isn't. You giggle at the B-movie cheesiness of it.

Name : Rick Groen / Alias : Globe and Mail
A sustained if wildly unco-ordinated assault on our senses (our emotions are clearly not on his battle map), complementing those feverish jump cuts with a cliche of equally stunning proportions.

Name : Bruce Westbrook / Alias : Houston Chronicle
Like good drive-in fare from the '70s, this is all about sensation.

Name : Kirk Honeycutt / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
Shorter and punchier but nearly as hokey as the original.

Name : Peter Howell / Alias : Toronto Star
Brevity is the single best thing about it.

Name : Bill Muller / Alias : Arizona Republic
If star Ryan Reynolds wants to scare us, why not just lock us in a room and make us watch Van Wilder over and over? Or have girlfriend Alanis Morissette talk about her past relationships?

Name : John Monaghan / Alias : Detroit Free Press
The latest in a long line of cheap horror film remakes that combine familiar names and stories with slash-cut editing and computer-generated effects.

Name : Gene Seymour / Alias : Newsday
The movie is a procession of unregenerate B-level goosing. But there's definitely a smirk beneath the muck.

Name : Philip Wuntch / Alias : Dallas Morning News
Watching The Amityville Horror is about as enjoyable as attending a Halloween party hosted by people you can barely tolerate.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
This house springs so many FX shocks it plays like a theme-park ride. Result? It's not scary, just busy.

Name : Lisa Kennedy / Alias : Denver Post
Since Scream poured irony into the mix, it has become mighty hard to write a line of dialogue that doesn't elicit winks and nods. We all know where the mayhem's leading.

Name : Tom Long / Alias : Detroit News
Completely cheesy and mildly enjoyable.

Name : James Berardinelli / Alias : ReelViews
In a ghost story, the narrative doesn't have to be a model of originality or coherence, but it needs to support the scares. In The Amityville Horror, the writing is so bad that it detracts from the 'boo!' moments and creepy interludes.

Name : Stephanie Zacharek / Alias : Salon.com
I wasn't shocked by The Amityville Horror, or outraged by it: I felt nothing but disdain.

Rosewater Volledige Film In Croatian Ondertitels

Secret Link Voir On this week movie great on cinema is Rosewater and the movie Rosewater Volledige Film In Croatian Ondertitels get viewer most to watch this movie. Cinema like Megamovie, Allocine, Solarmovie, etc have thousand visitors/2h. This movie Rosewater great come from this channel (http://streaming.vodlockertv.com/?tt=2752688) and this great movie Rosewater Volledige Film In Croatian Ondertitels can download and watch for free unlimited.

Rosewater is based on The New York Times best-selling memoir "Then They Came for Me: A Family‘s Story of Love, Captivity, and Survival," written by Maziar Bahari. The film marks the directorial debut of "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart, and stars Gael Garcia Bernal. Rosewater follows the Tehran-born Bahari, a broadcast journalist with Canadian citizenship. In June 2009, Bahari returned to Iran to interview Mir-Hossein Mousavi, who was the prime challenger to president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. As Mousavi‘s supporters rose up to protest Ahmadinejad‘s victory declaration hours before the polls closed, Bahari endured personal risk by sending footage of the street riots to the BBC. Bahari was arrested by police, led by a man identifying himself only as "Rosewater," who tortured and interrogated him over the next 118 days. With Bahari‘s wife leading an international campaign to have her husband freed, and Western media outlets keeping the story alive, Iranian authorities released Bahari on $300,000 bail and the promise he would act as a spy for the government. Comment For Rosewater Cinema Pergamino

Name : Tom Long / Alias : Detroit News
Stewart's enthusiasm for his story and passion about injustice ring clear, but throughout what could have been a dreadfully somber film, he remembers to breathe.

Name : Mary Houlihan / Alias : Chicago Sun-Times
With Rosewater, Stewart proves he can pull back from the satirical comedy and become a thoughtful, incisive and questioning filmmaker.

Name : Joshua Rothkopf / Alias : Time Out New York
The film settles into the kind of sobriety you've seen too often .

Name : Bob Mondello / Alias : NPR
Rosewater . has an urgency that's all about the storytelling smarts of its first-time writer-director.

Name : Peter Rainer / Alias : Christian Science Monitor
Stewart does a credible job of maintaining the story's immediacy, but I must say I felt relieved that the film wasn't a masterpiece. If it was, we'd have more reason to fear Stewart will leave The Daily Show.

Name : Tomas Hachard / Alias : NPR
The result neither portrays the suffering of Bahari's incarceration adequately nor lampoons the absurdities of the situation.

Name : Scott Foundas / Alias : Variety
A solid, powerfully acted political drama about human endurance in the face of ideological oppression.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
That the movie is as tense and chilling as it is owes much to first-time director Jon Stewart's keen eye for the way humor surfaces even in the dark places.

Name : Colin Covert / Alias : Minneapolis Star Tribune
Stewart does a solid job of handling the facts of the time; it feels true to the moment, like a filmed Newsweek story. Creative acting, dramatizedthemes, gifted cinematic styling? Not so much.

Name : Dana Stevens / Alias : Slate
Though at times Rosewater is clearly the work of a first-timer still finding his voice, Stewart is indisputably a real filmmaker.

Name : Geoff Pevere / Alias : Globe and Mail
It's a movie made for people who prefer to take their politics while sitting on the couch.

Name : Steven Rea / Alias : Philadelphia Inquirer
A strong, striking political drama.

Name : Stephen Whitty / Alias : Newark Star-Ledger
Stewart can never quite answer the question: Why this man's story, of all the ones that should be told? And why now, five years later?

Name : Kenneth Turan / Alias : Los Angeles Times
Stewart acquits himself solidly, though not thrillingly, as a beginning director .

Name : Peter Howell / Alias : Toronto Star
Stewart lets the truth roll out, the best he can, believing in the sanitizing effect of sunlight and the inevitable fate that awaits all despots.

Name : James Rocchi / Alias : Film.com
"Rosewater" marks the debut of a director whose brains and guts are the equal or the better of his eye and heart .

Name : Bill Goodykoontz / Alias : Arizona Republic
Stewart proves to be an able filmmaker in "Rosewater." But he also shows hints of being something more.

Name : Richard Corliss / Alias : TIME Magazine
The virtue of this movie is its commitment to political ambiguity and emotional truth.

Name : Jocelyn Noveck / Alias : Associated Press
A clear-headed, sensitive and thoroughly impressive directorial debut for the Comedy Central host.

Name : James Berardinelli / Alias : ReelViews
This is Jon Stewart's directorial debut; the talk show comedian has a handle on the material and conveys it clearly.

Name : Kyle Smith / Alias : New York Post
Jon Stewart's filmmaking debut "Rosewater" has much in common with "The Daily Show" - it's blaringly obvious, it's naive, it plays to the cheap seats and it's enamored with cheap jokes.

Name : Alonso Duralde / Alias : TheWrap
While the film keeps telling us that Bahari survived his ordeal by freeing his mind from imprisonment and eventually outsmarting his rosewater-scented interrogator, we are told that he's doing so more than we're seeing it.

Name : Ty Burr / Alias : Boston Globe
What makes "Rosewater" different from similar entries in what might be called the Triumph of the Imprisoned Spirit genre is that the hero is hardly an ideologue, despite having sympathy for the Iranian reformers and the Green party.

Name : Esther Breger / Alias : The New Republic
The main question Rosewater grapples with is whether Stewart can hack it as a filmmaker. The answer: sort of?

Name : Soren Anderson / Alias : Seattle Times
A finely wrought, powerful drama that tells the true story of an Iranian-born journalist's imprisonment and torture by the Islamic regime in Iran.

Name : Joe McGovern / Alias : Entertainment Weekly
Rosewater, starring the geeky-charismatic Gael Garcia Bernal as Bahari, is a gripping drama, smartly calibrated for Western audiences who still need an education in the bright, progressive, fight-back impulses in Iranian culture.

Name : Joe Morgenstern / Alias : Wall Street Journal
A persuasive production despite its limited budget .

Name : Joe Neumaier / Alias : New York Daily News
While it may seem like another triumph-over-adversity tale, the movie is really about what sustains us during impossible moments.

Name : Calvin Wilson / Alias : St. Louis Post-Dispatch
"Rosewater" is a reminder that America may have its critics, but at least there's little danger of the average citizen being arrested for appearing on a fake news show.

Name : J. R. Jones / Alias : Chicago Reader
Rosewater certainly has merit as an act of atonement on Stewart's part and a tribute to people like Bahari. In the end, however, the movie needs to stand on its own, apart from its noble intentions and the popularity of its writer-director.

Name : David Denby / Alias : New Yorker
The hard-focus clarity of the images (Bobby Bukowski did the cinematography) leads to an intimacy with anguish that passes into expressionism.

Name : Michael Phillips / Alias : Chicago Tribune
Stewart's wryly observant qualities as a TV star serve him well in his feature film debut.

Name : Michael O'Sullivan / Alias : Washington Post
"Rosewater" doesn't hector, nor does it giggle about the issue of press freedom. It's an impressive and important piece of storytelling.

Name : David Edelstein / Alias : New York Magazine/Vulture
In outline, Rosewater sounds earnest, one-note, relentless - something you'd watch out of a sense of duty. But it turns out to be a sly, layered work, charged with dark wit along with horror.

Name : Ignatiy Vishnevetsky / Alias : AV Club
Centrist mush-basic, boilerplate human-interest stuff that's too shapeless to completely work as drama, and too depoliticized to be taken seriously as anything else.

Name : Manohla Dargis / Alias : New York Times
Mr. Stewart's interest in the material is obviously personal, but his movie transcends mere self-interest.

Name : Wesley Morris / Alias : Grantland
The film goes slightly beyond rigorous earnestness and settles into a kind of stubborn atonement.

Name : Claudia Puig / Alias : USA Today
Stewart has created an informative, dark and witty story imbued with black humor surrounding Bahari's confinement.

Name : Mick LaSalle / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
For a first effort, Stewart hasn't done a bad job. There's just the nagging feeling with "Rosewater" that a better movie was possible.

Name : Stephanie Zacharek / Alias : Village Voice
Rosewater is an earnest picture, but it's also got some juice - there's vitality and feeling in it, the secret ingredients so often missing from even the most well-intentioned first features.

Name : John Anderson / Alias : Newsday
Earnest, well-acted, less than urgent, but more than a vanity project.

Name : Todd McCarthy / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
Stewart and cinematographer Bobby Bukowski cover it all in a straightforward, watchable way, the performances are all sincere and solid and the situation is easy to respond to emotionally.
